To add to the question, then would owners in snow climates typically change out the BBK to stock?

I have race BBKs on three cars, I just don't use them in winter and there's no problem. Otherwise I would swap to stock, which isn't that hard to do

I may just be paranoid about the salt, who knows

good info. I think it's time for me to flee Manhattan once and for all so that I can have space to curate a collection of dedicated track cars like Shadow.
