Will it Rub? Going from 265/30 to 275/30 on 9.5x20 +22 in FRONT
I have 265/30 PS4S tires installed on my Vorsteiner 9.5x20 +22 front wheels and will need to be replaced soon. I want to move up to 275 width because the current tires look stretched, plus the increased grip and slightly higher sidewall would be nice.
Will there be any rubbing issues? No spacers. Michelin's recommended rim width range is 9-10" so that's not the issue.

Forgot to mention. It is lowered on M-Performance adjustable springs; not a crazy amount, about 20mm IIRC. Car is an F82 as in my signature.

You should be fine without spacers. 275/30 is slightly taller so if you add spacers down the road, you'll be hitting the fender liner at full turn. but no spacers, no problem. If you do hit the fender liner, just raise the car bit.

I forgot to update the thread. I can confirm that indeed there is no issue with that size + offset combo on the M4. I changed to it 3 weeks ago. I can't believe the shop I bought my wheels from way back when suggested 265; sidewall was way too stretched compared to how it looks now. And my wheels are right in the middle of Michelin's recommended width range for the 275. The slightly higher sidewall is more protective too. While the wheels were off, I did raise the car about 9mm to get to BMW's recommended height for MPHAS with 20" wheels...did not realize the shop had set them too low.

275/30 is about 1% more in overall diameter than OEM. Your speedometer reads 1mph higher. |
