To Tint Or Not to Tint? YMB // SS - M4
Ive had my car for a little over a month and still like the classiness of the fish bowl look. With that said, I was wondering what the suggestions out there are for the YMB // SS color combo.

I would definitely tint, just go lighter like 35% all around. For years, since I was 16 I always had dark tint. I think at one point I was running limo (5%) except my driver/pass windows 20%.
F8x to me looks classier with lighter tint like 35% and only on a classic would I go even lighter with something like 50% just for UV protection and glare. Just my personal opinion.

I have dark skin and no front plate, and a bright blue car....so I don't want to stick out any more than I already am. I like the classiness of no tints, however the darker window shade does a GREAT job of breaking up the YMB. I could see myself going with a very light 50% tint just to get a little smokiness.

I think everything looks better with a tint. 35% looks good without being too dark. If you're really into the no tint look, maybe 50% is a decent compromise.

I went 43% all around and 70% on windshield cause I wanted to see the SO interior.

I have YMB and SS and NO TINT. I have never tinted my M cars. My sedans that are not M's, sure. what's the purpose of the light color combo if nobody can see it. If you got black interior, sure, why not.
You do live in LA so that might make a bit more sense. My car is in the garage at work, home or the mall and it's not as hot out as LA.

Here's mine 30% all around 3m film, did it lighter for my old car it was 35% front and 5% rear didn't like it and the 35% was too light for me.
This one now Looks pretty dark but I do have a moonroof, so I just open that sucker to let light in and pray Last edited by Ehronius; 02-04-2016 at 12:27 AM.. |

I have a YMB/SS combo car as well, and I don't have tint. I don't really care for YMB with dark tint, but I am considering something really light (..in the 70% range).
