I've always thought that was true and although I've never actually measured it on any cars I've owned I believe it to have been absolutely true for an E39 540 I had and likely true for Z3 I had around the same time. R&T used to include exactly that comparison in their long term tests, 0-60 new and 0-60 at >40K miles, results were always different. idk if R&T still does that because I no longer subscribe to R&T, instead I take a sharpie and write 'R&T' in big letters on the cover of Car & Driver....turns out there's no difference.

For the past week my car seems to have alot more torque when I speed up. When I accelerate the car pulls me back, car feels like a monster compared to before. Idk if anyone has experienced this.

Do you use different tires for the winter vs the summer? If you live somewhere with cold winters I suspect the summer months are a nice performance boost.
Yup. I switch tires

Turbo cars Get better with the miles (to a certain point obviously). My old Audi S3 turbo started to pop more with the miles and engine really loosened up (was best around 40k miles). I assume the same will happen with my f80 (I'm on 12k)
