Opinion on Michelin AS3+ for F8x

Hello folks...trying not to get flamed...I know it is not appropriate to fit a F8x with all seasons...pilot super sports are in limited supply. Any thoughts on folks who have tried similar tires? These are not the original AS+ generation...Tire Rack had some favorable reviews.

Thanks ahead of time.

BTW...19,000 on the front and rears...I know...embarrassing that they lasted this long.

I have these on my daily a Honda Accord, I say handling is great and one of the best tires I have tried. Traction will be an issue on a M4 just like with stock pss. It's a great all around tire.

There is a perception that doing anything to your M3/M4 that makes it LESS "track ready" than showroom-stock is somehow sacrilegious.

The bottom line is that based upon available information the Michelin Pilot 3 AS+ will provide better traction than the Michelin PSS OR winter tires in temperatures between ~35-60 degrees ambient - which I can attest is a good amount of my year. There's nothing wrong with wanting a very good handling tire in "shoulder season" temperatures that is superior to the PSS.

I have driven the original MPS AS 3 and feel it is a pretty amazing tire albeit has the LEAST snow traction of any all-season I've driven on in quite awhile. It is a very firm riding tire, know that going into it. Supposedly the AS 3+ has better snow traction, rides a tad better, and has better dry traction to boot. IDK, but if it has better dry traction, then it is basically the equivalent of a ultra high performance summer tire in the dry (i.e. not as good as PSS, but good as many "one step down" summer tires)

I have the AS3+ on my F80. Love them. Slightly less traction than the stock PSS/Conti, but only when flooring it from a stop or pushing very hard on a back-road.

Do you have the ZCP package? I can't find anything other than the PSS or PS4 for that size.

I have now logged about 15,000 miles on Michelin AS 3+. No major issues regarding traction. Not launching...use my F80 as DD. Tires are stellar in the wet...very useful in Florida weather. My next set will be the Michelin PSS4 at 265 and 285. Current setup is 255/275 (19s). My only gripe is that they are a little louder than original PSS due to compound (which provides better wear rate).

Have these tires on my wife's E350, and they are awesome. Not sure about the M4, I have had no problem finding the PS4S, which I also love. I would consider the AS 3+ if I lived in the North.......but then again, I would not live in the North. Anyway, they are a great tire.

I have the AS3+ tires on my M4 and like them better than the PSS tires in most cases. I think they are great! I put them on for winter and didn't take them off for summer.

I'll end up with ~ 8k on rear MPSS; near the wear bars and now that temps are down in 60s rears are really traction challenged. Kicking myself for not just running AS3+ year round; they did very well on previous cars. Current Cold season setup BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S; seems like a good tire based on 3k miles over last winter.

I had the A/S Michelin tires on my previous E92 M and was thoroughly impressed. Once my current Contis wear out on my F82 I’ll move to the all seasons again.
