It's usually stamped/cast on the backside of one of the spokes. The M3/M4 wheels don't have a hub cap to hide the stampings that was shown in the picture above, so I'm pretty sure it is on the backside of one of the spokes.

It's ususally the wheel size (e.g 9Jx19) or similar on one of the spokes and ET is on a different spoke (usually).

OH I thought that was the back of the hub like on my HRE. My bad that's the front I see now.

This is what I meant.

If I'm not mistaken, I think that wheel manufacturers are bound by EU legislation to have ET and wheel size visible on the wheel. Usually on the backside of the spokes, but also as was seen in your picture (which means the wheel has to come off to see it).

Offsets are likely going to be +35-38 fronts and +20-23 rears. Tire sizes probably 245/265.

If I buy 18x10 wheels for my e92, does anyone know if they will fit on the new M4?

Thanks

So 18x10 might work up front but it'll need a roll if you want to get concavity or dish at around +20. With a conservative offset, you can fit 10" up front for sure. IIRC Germany still has rules regarding chain clearance for wheel fitment. So we always have a healthy amount of room inside a BMW fender. If that's still true.

Would the bigger bolts fit wheels used on the E9X?

I would like to know if I can keep my Enkei NT03 track wheels for my M4

EDIT:

I just realized I have 14x1.25 bolts at home. I just need to see if they fit in my track wheels. Now the question regarding the offset still needs to be answered.
They will fit. The bolt pattern is the same. Wheels, in general, have bolt holes drilled large enough to accommodate stuff like this. You'll be fine. Offsets are the only thing you need to worry about.

I'm glad to be a source of amusement though I hope you realize I was being sarcastic to the poster above me in the first page for asking the same question

You mean the post that mixed up bolt spacing with bolt diameter?

He didn't mention tires though... He was annoyed if his HRE P40S wheels that he had sold actually would fit a F82...

Tires widths are already officially known: 255 F, 275 R.

Those are for the 19s. I believe 18s will be 245/265.

No, the widths quoted is for 18"

Also, the 255/275 sizes can be seen on the show car pictures, both on 19" and 18" equipped cars.

Tire widths of 255/275 is also my understanding for both 18" and 19" rims. In 40 aspect ratio for the 18" and 35 for the 19".

Has there been any show car with 18"? I don't remember seeing any...

In the main M3/M4 threads, a bit down there is the YMB M3 from Detroit, that has the steel brakes. There are close up photos of the tires of that car. The front tires are 255

Agreed, but all on 19" rims, no?

I don't recall seeing any 18" rims on cars at the shows

Yes, it makes perfect sense. I have never seen wheel specs based on bolt sizes. Bolt pattern yes, but not bolts sizes.

Brain fart on my part, thanks for bringing me back on track .

Yes, you are right. I was so hung up on the brakes, didn't notice that it also was on 19" wheels...

But I guess there really isn't any confusion on the 18" size tires anyway, as they are listed on BMW tech spec.
