Coding - Pay It Forward
Guys, I just wanted to give a shout-out to shawnsheridan. He's the most helpful member on this forum. Without his help, I wouldn't even know where to start.
Messaging with Shawn back and forth, I finally loaded the software to another laptop (work laptop had firewall, so it wouldn't connect). I went code crazy all morning. Coded the following: - Euro MDM - Rear Fog Light - thanks to tom @ eas - Remove legal warning on nav screen - Remove seatbelt warning - DVDinMotion - A/C memory - Unlock doors at engine shut-off - Brake Force Flashing Refer to the VO coding document for the anti-dazzle or Euro LED headlight. U.S. DOT didn't approve BMW's anti-dazzle technology so you must change the vehicle order (VO). Follow each step carefully. Cable Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBD2-ENET-Et...135320&vxp=mtr If you guys have any questions on how to get started, let me know. If you need the links to the software files, ping Shawn. Shawn doesn't want any money for helping us out. If you're feeling generous, please donate to his buddy who's been providing the Coding Application data and hosting all the coding software/data. Paypal email below. warpeddriveservices@gmail.com I gotten hundreds of dollars worth of features for my car. I hooked his buddy up with a small donation for the support to the BMW community. Pay it Forward. Once your software is installed, you'll just need these 2 documents attached. If you follow these 3 simple rules, you will not do any damage to your car:
Euro MDM parameter under DSC Module: C_Laenderkennung => ECE CTpmsMarket => EU CPrewarnEnable => enable CPrewarnIgnition => enable CalLrPDevMax => 50kpa CPInitRangeMax => 80kpa UiaSetLevelPc => 20% UiwSetLevelPc => 15% More info here: http://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=715297

I am curious on the A/C memory setting. What does it do and what did you code?
I am having an issue when I configure my AC unit to recycle air only, it changes to automatically change between fresh air and recycled air randomly. If I push the "MAX A/C", it never leaves the recycled air setting. However, if any other setting is configured, manual randomly changes to automatic. Drives me nuts. I hate smelling fumes on the highway. |

Unfortunately my issue is happening post startup. I am actually changing the recycled air setting while I am driving and a couple miles later it reverts back to the automatically switch between fresh and recycled air.
I assume you do not experience this anomaly? Or is this normal behavior? I was hoping your A/C change would help with this issue. Thanks. |

Leaving the air circulated also causes condensation on humid days. We have a very nice air filter, is there a reason why you want the air permanently circulating in the cabin?

Yes. Smell. I smell the road and the exhaust of other vehicles. This is how I even know it changed. I smell something and look down and then swap it back to manual.
Why even have a manual setting if it swaps back. Anyways. Thanks for your assist. |

That anti-dazzle? It is amazing, creating a light tunnel. My 6GC has LEDs, but there's something in the headlight design that prevents the anti-dazzle to work.

Start ordering the cable and install Esys, LOL. It took 3 days for the cables to arrive. Longest 3 days ever.

That's only because you bought your car from the lot.

That's right. I don't know how you guys can wait months for your car. Now EU delivery would be worth waiting for.

Thanks for the cheat sheet! Been building my own, but this is more comprehensive.
I've had the car for >2 months but only managed to code anti-dazzle due to the v55.1 thing. Will try to code more this weekend. Lol well-said... I personally waited because, if I'm going to spend many many thousands of dollars, I want to get exactly what I want, especially as I plan to keep the car a long time

Thanks for the cheat sheet .
There is something that caught my attention: FEM_BODY'Module:'I have the LED headlights but not HBA (HBA only comes with the technology package in Canada), so I cannot get the "anti-dazzle" high beams to work. I do have the KAFAS2 camera though because I have the speed limit info. I'll try these codes above to see if I can get the HBA to default to "On" .

I'm going to order the cable before I get home. I have Esys, just need to install it and get familiar with it. A bit different than VCDS. Speaking of HBA and the KAFAS2 camera, I was wondering if Speed Limit Info could be coded in because ZLP includes the cam. Anyone done this?
