"M performance" side skirt decal

Hi all

I'm looking to buy the matte black "m Performance" side decals for my f80.

I've found several knockoffs but can't seem to find the the legit one that comes from the factory on some of the newer comp pacs.

Any idea? Do I need to just call the dealer?

I'm getting this installed on F82 next wednesday. This doesn't come with competition pack, it's a separate m-performance accessory.

What you are looking for is the rocker panel decal kit.

Just be careful, my first set started to peel. Replaced under warranty, but was a PITA.

Mine's peeling as well. I hadn't even though about warranty. Glad to know it.
Out of curiosity, what was the PITA? The dealer wanting to do it?

I have the side skirt extensions as well which had to be removed for them to replace the vinyl. These were put on the 3M glue. Car was in the shop for a few days. All parts come with 2-year warranty!

Just spoke to McKenna on a side note concerning warranty for peeling of existing decals. I was told that it depends on where the peeling is occurring and they make a determination for coverage on a case by case basis.

In other words... probably not looking good but I have a service appt. this Thurs so I will update then.

The new logo version definitely will. Not entirely sure about the old logo version. I would call GetBMWParts and verify the part number. They've always been helpful when I have questions.

In my mind these decals make your car appear that it is sitting higher than it really is.

The old style comes with template for F82/83 and is here. You will need to eye-ball the install and ignore the template since the rockers are different between the F80 & F82/83.

I installed this on my previous F80 and you can see pictures of it here.

I also had the F30 version on my F30. I would not recommend the F30 version for the F80 because the logo as positioned would end up on or below the character line.

Funny, I thought the same and told myself I would take it off of my previous F80, but after realizing what a PITA it would be to remove the skirts, I left it on the entire time I had the car. Now that I don't have them, it just looks wrong to me. So much so, that I have ordered another for my new F80. Call me crazy!!

I have the side-skirts on my 2018 M3 CS and now... one of them has a tear and is peeling off

I'm going to have the dealer fix it, but I really wonder how well these things will hold up over time and if there is going to be visible paint fade if they are taken off.
