How attached are you to the car? You should try looking into the cars history to confirm if it was a BMW corporate track car and then try to get the dealer to take it back for not disclosing it or try to get them to refund you a few grand for not disclosing the damage and then sell the car to carmax. You could probably get good money from carmax since these cars are in high demand and since you have an '18 with a warranty. Who knows what issues the car will have if it actually was a previous track car...

So sorry to hear. It's a total gamble buying a car long distance.....*most salespeople will not disclose cosmetic issues unless pressed. Been there and could see the writing in the wall of how things would go.

That's not a good sign if I'm being honest. BMW usually keeps driving center cars for around 7k miles before getting rid of them. Was it registered in Woodcliff Lake, NJ? Also does it have any service history?

Also the tear in the drivers seat isn't a good sign either. That indicates people were sliding around in the seat a lot which is also a sign of a track car. I think the tell tale signs of a corporate track car are '18 comp with CCBs, registered in Woodlake NJ, less than 10k miles, little to no maintenance history, worn bolsters, lots of rock chips, etc

In my experience "wet sanding" the headlights works really well. My old E92 headlights weren't too bad, just a little hazy (no oxidation). I bought a kit on Amazon and wet sanded them myself and results were great. Almost brand new.
P.S. That's Texas for you: a lot of highways resulting in less wear and tear on engine but more rock damages. |

Damnit I'm sorry man that's definitely 100% a driving center track car... Registered in Woodcliff Lake NJ, zero maintenance history until it was dumped off at the dealer, worn bolster, CCBs, tons of rock chips, all the signs of a driving center car

I'm pretty sure bmw has to tell the dealer that the car was a former driving center car so they had to have known and didn't disclose it to you. I'd call them and raise absolute hell until they take it back. If they don't take it back call BMW NA and tell them your situation and they should be able to take care of you
EDIT: There was a thread a few months ago where someone was in the exact situation as you where the dealer didn't disclose it was a former track car. I'd search for that and see if there's any good information in that thread for you |

Can you spill the beans on how much you paid for this car?

That's good for him though, right? Wont the car being CPO'd help him out with this entire process?
