Tire type, and Curb rash

Today I put on 4 new Tires.
I got the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S*. Even before driving the car, the first thing I noticed is how far out it the edge of the tire over the rim. I believe that with these tires my curb rash accidents will significantly reduce (I hope).

Michelin tires do come with large rim bead protectors.

On stock size? It’s not enough. 285 is enough for the rear, gonna need at least 265 is barely enough for the front but 275 would be better.

Trust me …. From my first hand experience haha.

That’s not a lot of cushion. Still going to get curb rash if hitting curbs.
