The marriage of the 4 series grille pattern with the existing grille and torpedo tubes, makes me actually like the G8x more lol.
If it were missiles, I may. Wait for the first plastered bumper sticker POS and no one would even notice it was gone except the local library.

The leaked pics of the silver car are distorted, definitely some kind of fisheye lens. Look at the kidneys on the camo car vs leaked pics. Camo car the grills are much shorter and wider looking. The camo car in general looks wider. I’ll wait for real pics. Also have a feeling a M2 wide body will work well with the design.

They are going to totally disgrace the CSL badge.

So guys (and gals)... I was not pleased with the direction BMW took with this car (well, technically I don't like what they are doing across the board).

But for the M3, I didn't like the new front end and was not pleased the car gained weight.

On the plus side, the front end has grown on me - in darker colors only, and it sounds like the weight gain is not as bad as originally posted.

Still... I really really wanted AWD with a stick - in something lighter if possible. Lighter in terms of weight.

So I did it. Ordered early Feb, picked up Saturday. Can't wait to pay for maintenance

Congrats Doug, that is a gorgeous spec'd 911 and a manual at that too! Enjoy the new ride.

Lol I did the same Doug back in December; couldn’t stand the direction of the new M4.

Coming from stg1 f82, speed/power-wise this thing stock is between a stg1 and stg2 f80/82. Will get it stg2 tuned to 600bhp soon and it’ll be even more amazing.

Congrats

I hope, HOPE you did the paid maintenance part. It really helps for the first 3 years, especially the big one on the 3rd year.

And a few pages back, it isn't as bad as some people make it out to be but it can be a bit of a shock if you aren't used to it.

It should still be roughly the same I have been told recently.

Financing wise, Porsche Financial is still at a historic low (for Porsche I mean it's very low). 2.99%. if you qualify, it can drop down to a 2.40% although apparently that may end soon.

Depending on which car you do, leasing is actually alright as well. I know every car has a certain limit for how much the car can be subsidized before you have to pay full price for, well options. I don't know about the Carrera S but for the GT4, that MSRP price point currently sits at 128k. Anything above that, it won't be worth leasing if you plan on buying out. It also jumps the monthly payment by a lot.

Doug should be aware of this, unless the dealership didn't tell him. Which, they should if he prods enough. I may be just lucky as I am fairly close to my dealership.

It's basically MSRP everywhere if you can get one. They dried up really fast after I ordered mine (I must be a trend setter?)

Porsche was at 2.99, my credit union at 2.49, and they got me financing at a credit union I've never heard of for 2.14.

I did get the dealer to throw in winter mats. I have mad negotiating skills you know.

I was told I can add it any time up till the end of year 2. I realize that will cost more but the prepaid maintenance stays with the car - so if I sell it, I'm out the cash. So I'm going to wait a bit.

AMG proceeding with the theory that their flagships can appeal to a younger audience without design destruction in the eyes of the majority of their current customers. Apparently they see a shortcut, which is that they really just need to cast their models in various marketing contexts to achieve broader appeal.

Obviously, this is dumb and cannot work.

Nice deal. My local credit union is running .98 on any car right now new or used. Ends May 31st and I have nothing in sight to buy.

So it looks like Mercedes and BMW both took the same marketing direction. Let's see where Audi goes with this.
