2018 has LCI2. It's a big enough hassle to retrofit some of those items that it can be cheaper to just buy a 2018 vs 2017 + retrofit

18 has lights, infotainment and fake leather dash stitching as upgrades but 17 has the CFRP driveshaft.

Better as far as lighter weight ie higher performance - whether it's noticeable not sure

Started around Nov 2017 production but I think some 2018s did get the cfrp shaft. 2018 M3CS got the cfrp.

M3/M4 to Get Steel Driveshafts Beginning Nov. 2017. Sales top 68,000 to date. https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1411862

I thought they stuck w/ CF driveshaft for F80 - decided to just phase it out instead, they only made non CF driveshaft for F82. Could be wrong, maybe someone has an examples of 2018s without CF?

Great looking car. IMO the halo LEDs look so much better than the icon lights. 2017 is the best F80. GLWS.

BTW Saw this pop up on Cargurus - looks like you put mileage in where the price should go?

https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/invent...ting=295925972

Not sure if that was intentional or not, $41k looked like a steal :-)
