Exhaust Actuator

I purchased a used Meisterscheft GT-OEC exhaust; it's the one where it retains the stock actuator to able to open/close valve for exhaust.
My only question is when I went to mount the stock actuator to the bracket; the part of the motor/actuator that mates to the valve does not reach. They both have the same cylinder with slit on them; am I missing a part that connects them?

Huh…. I didn't see them. I'm double checking now. What did they look like.

Apparently this is what's needed to make it work.
Thanks for the reply.

Make sure your "paper clips" are spread open a little bit, so the spring pressure pushes in on the flapper slot. You should feel a good push needed to seat the actuator over top. This prevents the valves from rattling under heavy pedal.
