That was fun dodging rocks the GT3 was spitting out of its rear wheels!

I'm curious.
Why did you end up choosing the ZL1 again? Miss a V8?

I considered a lot of other options, thought seriously about a Panamera 4S. It was “used” with a few hundred miles on it and 10k over MSRP. Really nice car but figured it’s way to close of a Cayenne type driving experience. I made the mistake of test driving too many 991.2s and 992s. I really want a 992 S (or above) but refuse to pay what the market is asking right now. Check this thing out, 170k for a used 4S and is a fairly light build, it doesn’t even have full leather. I looked it up and I think it is 20-30k over original MSRP. Nice car no doubt, but sucks when you know can a get a nicer GTS build for that money if one could get an allocation. https://minneapolis.porschedealer.co...ab2a91ms223245 I’ll drive a brand new fun/fairly versatile 70k car until this craziness passes and I can get what I want. Hopefully not TL/DR, but that is my main thoughts on it. Last edited by minn19; 04-05-2022 at 10:00 PM.. |

I really liked this 991.2 but I prefer the current sports plus seats for comfort. Again, 4 years old barely under it’s original MSRP so not a horrible deal in this market. Still, 4 year old S and almost 130k and they aren’t budging a dime on any cars.
https://minneapolis.porschedealer.co...ab2a9xjs123494 Edit: I’ve looked nationally and it only seems to get worse. |

I shoot in unprocessed raw then find all the shadows, color and light in post processing. The silver GT3 on the right was actually a good 8-10 feet to the right. I moved it left in photoshop for better composition.

I been actually leaning the IS500 again. Though with gas prices the way it is, I don't know if getting a V8 is a good idea lol. Considering how much my GT4 costs gas wise, I would be extremely surprised if the IS500 isn't worse. That and I don't know if I am willing to pay above 50k for basically a platform that is what... 10 years old at this point? Though, my father had asked me to get the Lexus RC-F years before when I placed my M4 order and he likes Lexus. So... maybe. Quote:

Photoshop is something I took up almost 20 years ago doing web graphics and simple photo edits. However, I didn't really start to use advanced techniques until I got into photography. I really enjoy it, so its easy to get motivated. I dabbled in trying to turn it into a way to make some extra money by doing a few weddings. I hated it so I stopped and just went back to taking photos for fun. Plus it just wasn't worth giving up a whole day to make much less that what I actually do for a living. Maybe it's also because I like taking pictures of cars more than people lol

Agreed. Photography and cars are two hobbies that fit together perfectly! I'd never heard of a workflow that starts and stops in Lightroom, but I can't argue with those results!

I think of Lightroom as an organizer too. So going back into Lightroom with a finished shot as an uncompressed tiff makes it easier to access all my work in once place and batch export multiple images into accessible formats like jpeg or png.

I still forget half of the time when I tug it because it is literally out of the way. Thankfully it is the electronic one so it turns off on its own when the car realize I am actually driving.

Luckily its a manual so once its in gear i know its not going anywhere. No electronic voodoo will make that fail. But i did ease off the brakes verrrry slowly before getting out
