Emissions in Connecticut
Need to take my f80 to emissions in CT. Currently stage 1 and have catless downpipes and a muffler delete. Anything I can do on bm3 before I go? Is it just flash back to stock tune?
I do not have any check engine lights on. I do have these current codes on bm3 though. Are any of these to be concerned about or will effect emissions? Any insight or help would be appreciated. Thank you! |

Bm3 will not show readiness, even if you had cats. Really annoying feature btw.
If you flash to stock, you still won't get readiness as you're catless |

You won’t pass emissions even with a stock tune because you’ve removed your primary cats.
A lot of states are now starting to check the ecu to determine whether the engine software is oem/stock. They do this by looking at the checksum values. For BM3 that means you’d have to reflash the stock tune AND relock the ecu. MD starting doing this in 2020-2021. However, in your case, doing this won’t help because you’ve removed your stock cats. I’d ask you why the cats were removed but, because you’ve also removed your muffler, I know the answer. |
