Nice video, and a little different from the recent rest:

Why buy one, when you can have two.

How feasible do you think it is that the truck will go into production like that? It's cool and all but I wouldn't put 100 down on a thing I am not sure will even exist in the form presented to us on the stage.

Sorry for OT

That catchpole video makes a compelling argument for it, hearing the rear steer makes it feel as small as an rs4 on the road is huge given how the previous cars were one dimensional sofa's on wheels

These things are a lot of money here in aus, 200k+ USD, and for that money it's way over priced to use as intended. I'd rather a trackhawk and a dedicated 3 pedal sports car personally for same money

What you guys needed to get was the rs3 wagon (sportback)

It'd satisfy all your RS wagon craves in a small nimble package and at less than half the money - and with the aftermarket scene running at 11, a bolt on supercar killer

Really miss my old one, those iron 5 pot sounds

Unfortunately, another fine example of what we can’t have in the US!

IMHO, an RS4 Avant would be the "Goldilocks" for us here in NA, but that too aint happening either

The RS4 Avant is the car my wife really wanted. She settled for the RS3 sedan as it was the next best thing for her.

The more we look at it though, the more we are falling in love with RS6 . It really looks stunning with the widened wheel arches and we like the idea of all the luxo pampering features. We think it would pair very nicely with our more spartan M4cs.

Rs4 wagon looks great on paper, but that ots cayenne engine is woefully boring and characterless

Oh, don't get me wrong...I'm in LOVE with the RS6, and my wife thinks I'm ridiculous for obsessively watching all the recent launch videos, which are basically the same two cars/info. But I'm doubtful I'll ever be able to score one given the reportedly limited numbers built per year and moreover the price point (without my usually BMW discount that is)

It’s refundable, and I’ve down more money with less information given on German products so why not.

I think a key difference is you’re still skeptical of EV and Tesla, while I have been driving EV of some sort daily for almost 3 years.

I paid for the full self driving vaporware too, so as Kief put it, I’m pretty deep into the EV scene

CanAutM3 personally, I think you should get an A6 wagon and a Huracan rather than m4 and rs6. Skew the $ to the all out car

My $0.02 would be to look at it in person at an auto show or elsewhere before you put down a non refundable order deposit.

There was also very little noise but I recognize the driver may have had it in a quiet mode

Are you sure it is the latest gen RS6 you saw? Because I dont believe it has hit the market yet, the press embargo was just recently lifted. The previous gen was indeed much more subtle in styling. This latest one has 4cm (1.6”) fender flares on each side, not sure how that can go unnoticed compared to a base A6 avant. Further, it borrows the entire front snout from the RS7, which gives a very aggressive look. Anyhow, from what I gather, I dont think they will be that difficult to get here in Canada.

Yes, I’m quite certain it was the latest gen. The wheels, and front and rear end match the pictures posted here.

The white paint doesn’t do the design any favors. Even in the online pics of a white example, the flares are not very noticeable. It’s only the dark grey example in manufacturer glamour shots where the fender flare line is visible.

So the gas pedal vibrates if you exceed the speed limit.... on an RS car.

With that, I'm out.

I'm never buying an audi after my S6. I spent like 5k euro on brakes for it over 17k km. Replaced the rotors and pads 3x because of brake squeel. They told me to fuck myself when I went for warranty with it. Diff started leaking at 4 years 50k km.

Yeah, I think nicknaz was correct about White being underwhelming on this beast:
