Current Status of Non-Heritage Edition M4 Orders

Hi guys,

I'm trying to order an M4 but it's proving to be difficult - right now the dealers on the east coast are saying that they don't know when or even IF any non-Heritage edition models will be built between now and june.

Are you guys hearing similar things from your dealers? Apparently some people have been waiting since november/december for a production number with still no signs of an allocation?

Thanks,
Dave

Confirmed with my dealer that there are no more allocations. I have to pick from the ones on the lot

This info is not correct. While I am glad I ordered my 2020 M4 on December 1st, it is currently in the paint booth, it is not too late to order. But you wont get the car until May or even June. Order NOW

Awesome! Looks like EOP is now 10/2020 instead of 6/2020 too?

But it doesn't sound like you had a February allocation. It sounds like you had a Jan allocation with Feb production.

I am in the Northeast Market and just received word that F82 production to cease in April as well and NOT the published EOP date of October as seen in CNET. Any current modifiable allocations (which are few) are for March/April production and that's it...

As per my post on the Individual thread, I have also been told F82 production ends in April, the 23rd to be exact.

So if we don't have a production number yet, it's unlikely we ever would? Are March/April allocations already out?

The majority of the allocations right now are for the Heritage edition F82's, which can't be modified to a standard M4. There is a chance that next month (March) that BMW hands out a few more allocations but the end is basically near.

So March allocations aren't out yet? I'm assuming April allocations also aren't out yet if that's the case...I've had my order in since early February... would Bmw build my car or just have the dealer refund the deposit?

March allocations should already be out. I was saying perhaps that BMW may hand out a few allocations in March for final April builds.

When a customer places an order with a dealer, it does not mean your order is confirmed. An only can be confirmed if the dealer has an allocation aka production #. If F82 production ends and they do not build your car, your dealer will give you your deposit back

I ordered mine on December 3rd and it arrived at the Baltimore port February 4th. What was weird is that it was originally assigned a late February production week and then it started production on December 9th. I am picking it up at the performance center, but they can cancelled all factory tours for the foreseeable future.

But running a locate, there are not any M4s in status 6 (on order) in the country for any priority. There are 92 in status 5 (scheduled for or in production). Only 1 without individual paint that is in quality check. As others have confirmed, ordering has closed and there does not appear to be any modifiable orders right now.
