I was able to get in a quick run this morning after work to give a brief idea of how the TGM exhaust sounds with the AR Design downpipes and Magnaflow 14416's.

Please note: NO RASP AT WOT!!

I think if I could reduce the amount of drone the system produces I'd be willing to give it another shot. Would you guys recommend adding a pair of catalysts or are the longer resonators enough to do the job?

If you're still on stock downpipes I'd think the longer resonators (14416) would clean it up pretty well; they worked great with my aftermarket DP's so I'd imagine they'd mellow it out nicely with the stock cats.

How is drone with the new resonators/catted DPs? You've got me really interested in this exhaust again

There's a little bit of drone before the car warms up fully, but after that it's negligible to nothing at all.

Cruising with valves closed you'd be hard pressed to think it was any louder than stock; cruising with them open you can catch a mild, deep growl, but nothing "droney" or annoying.

I'll see if I can't get some in car footage at the end of this week to compare with.

So what’s the long-term opinion of this exhaust? My stuff is finally out of storage and I may give this a shot if I can sort out the fitment issues and droning. One consideration is that I might adapt it to the stock midpipes to preserves the cats (and their qualities as resonators), and install only the TG rear section to gain the benefits of a shiny muffler and equal length tones.

Does anyone know if these guys are still in business in July 2023, or maybe re-branded? They're listed as permanently closed on Google and their phone number just offers a series of scams until you hang up.

TGM is permanently closed. The team have changed directions and are now involved in racing. I'm still friends with the owner, but the fabrication/service part of his business is closed.
