Getting an RS turbo in good condition is like trying to win lottery, size of wheel is perfect for S58 turbos.

last week I repaired one

Little space to replace existing chargers, but space for one bigger one? That on it's face doesn't make sense, but like I said i am new to this motor. We are wanting to use one for a swap into a 1993 defender

Several different actual tractor classes. Not the modified that run racing type engines. We have built single, 2, 3 and 4 charger set ups. Like I mentioned to Track/S, we are considering using the S58 or B58 on a 1993 Defender swap. Just trying to get info gathered on these engines

Yes, it is easier to mounted single turbo with 1 dowpinpe, 1 oil pipe.

Do you know the weight of a single vs twin setup with similar output potential?

I think single with a cast manifold would weigh more, but there wouldn't be much difference either.

Track/S What is a good S58 physical size comparison to on S55 turbo options? Close to full race turbos? Pure high flow? or Mosselman in terms of size. arn't the full race s55 turbos about 5mm larger?

Here's some single weights, n55 but that shouldn't matter much:

BW EFR 8374: 28.6 lbs (79 lb/min. or about 750 hp capable)
Speedtech cast manifold: 17.2 lbs

Do you have any weights for singles?

This is a great post btw, one of the first things I noticed was that BMW made the turbos for the G8X bigger equivalent to like a Full race size which is why it doesn't surprise me that they make great power on stock turbos. Add the fueling and block updates and its just an all around performer.
