Good point

OK, how about turning them into BBQ grilles? It would leave some very interesting patterns on the hamburger

Tell me how that timeframe worked out for LCI e90 last time around vs f80 LCI as a MY16.

Do note that the introduction of the Competition Package and M4 LCI are unrelated events. They will not necessarily coincide in time .

Agree- I was just stating that LCI for F82 is likely coming as a MY17 instead of 18 due to F80 being LCI as a MY16. Comp package can come sooner or later.

In any case, it's going to happen ~3.5 years from the start of F32 production. That means sometime in early 2017. Theoretically it could either be a mid-model-year MY2017 or as the kick-off to an early MY2018, but in practice an LCI typically dictates the start of a new model year. That's how it went with the E92 3/M3 LCI at the start of MY2011 back in March 2010.

Same, aligned with the series car (sedan body)

E90 M3
MY2008 - 1st model year
MY2009 - LCI (same MY as standard 3er)
MY2010 - LCI
MY2011 - LCI and EOP
MY2012 - N/A
MY2013 - N/A

The point here is that all cars only get 3 model years of LCI production. We know the F32/F82 will go EOP in June 2020 (MY2020). Working backwards means LCI has to start with MY2018.

Yes, further validates my point. Every single BMW model (within the past 15 years, that I can identify) only has 3 Model Years of LCI. No more, no less.

Competition package is all over the map. F10 was different than E90/E92, etc.

Yeh for sure. I'm predicting I can upgrade to an M3 LCI ZCP before the M4 LCI is even out.

Didnt the M5 comp pack come out before the M6? Or am I off there?

Did F10M and F13M ZCP coincide with the F10 and F13 LCI?

Competition Package Info

Thought you guys might find this interesting - I went to the dealer today for my first mandatory service and was making small talk with my SA about a few things. I eventually asked him if he had heard anything on the competition package and he said that they had actually just gotten some news on it this past Wednesday. This is pretty much verbatim on what he said the features will be:

-Staggered wheel setup with lightweight alloys
-Revised MDM
-Slightly lowered ride height
-Performance exhaust
-It will be a ~$4500 option and can be ordered starting early 2016
-There will NOT be a HP bump
----------------------------------------------------

I found that last tidbit most interesting, as it is contrary to what many have speculated. Can anyone confirm or deny this news? I haven't seen anything on here related to it, so I'm skeptical myself.

Thanks

Any possibility of getting a copy of the print out the dealer had?

He seemed to be reading it from an email. I can check and see if he will forward it to me, but I doubt it.

Oh it certainly could be, I'm simply passing along what he said. I will say though, this guy has always been more than honest with me in the past.
