M18 M4s started production back in April. Only M3s are affected by the stop production and will begin again in July.

They actually started production on March 1st. Mine was completed on March 10th and in my garage on April 11th. So, yes, the dealers have them now.

frustrating to see they included the new touchscreen nav with the new 2er, M2, and 3er, but didn't include that in the M4/4er LCI! why not include the latest tech in cars being released so close together?

I wonder if the M3 LCI will have that screen.

Since it is not coming to those cars until July (the start of their MY2018 in the US), it probably was not ready in time for the 4/M4 LCI starting in March. However, it may very well be added to the 4/M4 in July. This sort of deferred content situation has happened before (Apple CarPlay, for example, as I recall).

The M3 had its one and only LCI in July 2015. However, it is all but certain the MY2018 M3 will get the the touchscreen just as the MY2018 2/M2 and 3 will (and 4/M4 possibly - I'd even say probably - will in July as well).

Well that would be unfortunate...I've got my ED scheduled for end of June!

Fingerprints on my nav screen would drive me bonkers. No thanks, I'll use the iDrive wheel

+1. Never understood why some folks like touchscreens. Too distracting to use during driving and the fingerprints are ugly. There's a reason why BMW, Audi, and Mercedes all use a wheel/mouse system.

I didn't read thru every single page in the thread...but has somebody already put up side-side-side photos of the new headlights vs "old"? Both standard and adaptive?

I wouldn't like that either - you'd need to keep a towel around just for wiping that off daily.

I think it could be ok, in the event the screen was closer to the driver (and if the fingerprints didn't drive you nuts) - my sister had one in her Jetta, and it was pretty nice. But it was a lot closer to her in the driver's seat compared to where it sits in the F8X.

I didn't read every page either, but just want to ask, I assume adaptive LED does not equal antidazzle LED, right?

that's the real advantage of LED; google it for video showing how it can throw light "around" a car in front of you or dim driver's side light when a car is approaching you.

otherwise, LED and xenon provide similar light. as to the shape, seems barely noticeable and no one outside of BMW world is gonna know the difference.

wonder if antidazzle can be "coded"; I'm sure the software is in there, just not activated.

that said, I got the LED's on my 435. I just kept clicking boxes.

I believe the adaptive can be coded to do this...

The US doesn't get the antidazzle no glare high beams because of outdated laws that make them illegal. You can code them in though. I'm not sure if it has been figured out for 2018s yet though as they have different lighting modules.

I recieved my m3 mid of may, it has the new BMW 6.0 Infotainment system (Exact one from the new 5 series and 7 series) with the LCI lights

I can confirm that the LCIinterior includes the new system known as 6.0 for the new M4! Mine is a 2018 model, weirdly lol.
