M3/M4 vs Z28 or 1LE on road course/track

We competed against a 2014 Camaro SS 1LE and it was amazing how close our lap times were all week.By the rules we were on street rubber and he had a tire trailer so he had a better wet weather setup than we had so he smoked us in the wet.The lead driver is an engineer for GM and the car was quite set up.On the radar the M4 did 226 kph vs the Camaro's 215 kph.

Interesting, so even with a Pro driver the Z28 is still slower.

Here is a video of a friend of mine David Pratte testing A ZL1 at a local Time Attack event.In the Ontario 1500 we turned a 1.21.3 in my M4 vs his 120.1 in the stock ZL1.The Camaro's have a much more sophisticated traction control system than our BMW's.

Seriously, it would be great if our cars could have something like the PTM system that's on all the latest GM performance cars, rather than super obtrusive MDM mode

The Z28 is really interesting right now since they are selling for $20K+ off sticker. All that performance for less than $55K is very tempting.
