Unfortunately not. I swapped to my winter wheels and sold my 666's shortly after I upgraded the suspension, and am waiting until spring to install my new set of 19's.

To paint a picture though, it was a very mild drop. As the B6's ride a little higher due to their level of compression, I found that the Eibach V1's settled in just shy of their stated drop at around a 0.6" front and close to 0.2" rear. Although my primary goal was handling over aesthetics, I'd imagine that the V2 Eibachs would likely give a little more of a drop.

ntg44- Thank you for the feedback.

I think I'm going with KW DDC P&P for a car that sees mostly nice day street driving and maybe a track day here and there. I was hoping for better dampers for the MP HAS but don't think there is another viable option outside of D16s.

I've done the CS EDC coding but feel there is room for additional improvement. Trying to avoid going to full coil overs, so was looking into the B6 Damptronics.

I am interested to know the same. I am in the KW HAS kit and was wondering the same thing, can the Bilstein 6 work? I believe they are designed for cars that aren't lowered. Based on their site the B8s are designed for cars that are going to be lowered, but I do not see an offering for our cars. Wondering if anyone knows if they make a B8 or if a B6 will work with HAS kits?

So installed the B6's over the weekend with Eibach pro kit USA version springs. I realize and expected the drop to be less than Eibach stated, due to the longer B6 shocks than OEM. I also realize that some settling will occur, but there is virtually no drop (approx. 1/4") in the front which is a bit disappointing.

US version which has a bit more drop. Have not driven much yet at all. Drove the fronts hard and no question much more planted especially on rough roads. Just put the rears on and have not driven yet. They are certainly much heavier than the oem. Once I drive a bit and get aligned I am confident will be a definite upgrade in handling. Was just hoping for a bit more drop. If you are doing yourself let me know as have some tips that I wish I had known.

OK here are pics with 10 miles on them or so. Re tips. Kies motorsports is good video BUT you do not need to do the full breakdown of the braces etc. under the hood, nor do you need a spring compressor. There is only one bolt holding the strut on 18mm. Is good to have the schwaben scokets (22mm and 18mm) to hold the inner strut while loosening and tightening new tophats on. Remove Strut by simply holding strut in place with a jack under the strut prior to loosening bolt. This will keep pressure on spring then once loose simply and slowly lower jack, guiding shock / strut out of hole. there is a lot of pressure so be sure jack is well positioned. There is also a left and right for each shock. It is not noted you just have to compare. Also on rear better to put rear camber bolt in prior to strut bolt so that you can move arms to ensure you get camber washers into place and seated correctly. I think those are the main items and will save you quite a bit of time.

Hey Imran,

Can you confirm that the B6 shocks are the rear shocks for the B16 damptronic kit? I have the B16 kit on my f80 and there could be a possibility that my rear shock is broken (getting errors and chassis restricted errors). Instead of waiting on a warranty repair (which would be unlikely) I just want the rear b16 shock but looking at the installation guide of the B16, it says b6 on the rear install guide. Thoughts?

Thanks

Julian
