Track Day in Fontana (during Bimmerfest) - Why was I black flagged?

To this day I'm still wondering why I was I black flagged??

Track day During the BimmerFest 2015 Speed Venture event at Auto Club Speedway. I was running in the Blue Group.


My Setting for this track were:
Throttle: Sport
Suspension: Sport+
Steering: Sport+
Traction Control: MDM
and of Course HUD on M mode

Maybe but at least 3 different flag carriers were waving their black flags in my direction, the corvette was not behind me for lon, I let him pass soon as I heard him

Usually, when you pit in for your black flag you need to stop for a "chat" with the track official. Did that happen?

Yea, she just said that she had no idea what happened, asked me a couple questions to see if I was driving wreckless then told me that my car looks fine so after a couple minutes she let me go backout

you were probably mistaken for another white M4. I'm sure you weren't the only one. if not, probably just a mistake.

You were there and you don't know why you were black flagged. The good people who work at the track were there, and according to you, they don't know why you were black flagged (despite having walkie-talkies). What makes you think we'd know why you were black flagged from watching your gopro video?

i was in your same group. You were black flagged for crossing the white line going into the first 90 degree left turn. You were supposed to hug the inside all the way up into the turn on the first lap as you first enter the track, you crossed over when the line went dotted How do I know? because i was black flagged for the same thing! I had no idea why and thats what the track official told me. I was in the mineral white F80 with m performance goodies and CCBs.

Well I'll be damned. It turns out that somebody here dies know why you were black flagged. It seems that i underestimated the collective knowledge of this place. My apologies for doubting it.

now the question remains as to why the crew couldn't tell powa why he was black flagged, but they could tell you

Ahhhhhh that's why! I thought we could cross at the point where the solid line breaks and becomes dotted lines (as I did in the video) But what you said makes sense, thanks

Nice car btw I remember you, I had a good time that day after the first session. Did you buy any of the track pics?

Thanks man! no I havent purchased any, just looked at the website. Ya those first sessions were definately slow, the last session of the day was the funnest, my fastest lap was my final one of the day. I think theres a track day at Laguna Seca on June 27th. I live 10 min from the track. Might be worth checking out.
