Need a sound clip - stock dp, AA equal length mid pipe, remus exhaust

Thinking about adding remus exhaust to my setup instead of swapping the downpipe to the AA high flow catted down pipe.

Currently have stock downpipe, AA equal length mid pipe, stock competition exhaust....have the AA stage 1 tune with burble delete (thank god)

Anybody got that setup and added the remus axel back exhaust and what I can expect?

Anybody have this setup? Curious on how the remus changed the sound from the stock dp, AA EL mid and stock exhaust.

Will I need to get it retuned (currently have stage 1 AA)? Would rather go to a muffler shop that can put it on cheap vs the shop i go to that will probably want 4 hours of labor

No retune required. Seems like you already have a mid pipe therefore this would be a direct swap. Move hangers and exhaust actuators. Done and dune

Awesome, do I have to cut anything? Wondering if I can just take this to a muffler shop vs a specialty shop that I've been going to. Guessing the back pressure doesn't change so much that it would impact anything.

Have you heard this sound combo by chance? Curious on what it does to the tone; the clip is kinda hard to totally make out vs in person

Thanks, good to hear.

Are there multiple versions of the exhaust? Assume you get the same control with the valves opening and closing too?

How much was the install?

Many thanks

It's a great combo - there's only 1 version of the remus and the AA EL exhausts (except the M2C ones come with standard/race). Maintains factory valve controllers.

Depending on the area, shops typically charge around 300-500 for exhaust installs.

Many thanks, I have the EL on there already so hoping the remus gets more sound and a little deeper...appreciate the inputs

I think there's only one remus muffler but there are multiple midpipe configs you could go with..
Can't remember how much install was.. maybe 300?

Thanks, I already have the AA el mid pipe so just need the exhaust. Sounds like it's running 3400 with the black carbon tips...
Really want to do it but just not sure I'm going to get 3400 in sound quality improvement...

If you look at the Turner rear section exhaust you'll see it's design is almost a copy of Remus, but it's only $1400. This would bolt right up to an AA mid, and I'd pick the Single Mid to get the deeper tone that I prefer.

That's with the tips too? I missed that part of the sentence lol. Then that's not bad, it's worth 3400 in sound...
I might sell mine though.. may be selling the car but unsure!

JipperII if you send me your number I can send you a video. I have a video of revving the engine in my driveway with OEM downpipe AA equal length exhaust and Remus axle back. Also I have one Revving with a modded AA Catted down pipe and equal length exhaust and Remus axle back.

Go for it!

Used to have AA single mid with comp muffler and enjoyed it very much, but wanted it bit more louder. When my friend was trading his m3 in I bought his old setup which is AA equal length with Remus muffler with cg valve controller.
Wide open pulls definitely puts smile everytime!

Single had more low pitch deeper tone
EL has more higher pitched tone
Wish I kept the single to see how it sounded with Remus muffler but sold it to recoup some money lol...

I have the single AA midpipe and Remus exhaust. When I upgraded the sound was noticeably deeper compared to AA midpipe and ZCP exhaust.

The downshift and burbles are louder as well.

The AA midpipe and Remus combo is one of the best sounding systems out there.

Thanks buddy, do you have the EL or single mid pipe? I tuned out the burbles to get a cleaner sound but I still get that single pop on shifts above 4500...

So safe to say you feel the 3400 was worth it?

I ran both EL AA and single to the Remus, on high-flow DP as well as catless. Amazing sounds for both setups and they bolt right on with no issues. You wont be disappointed
