Arrow Torque value for the hood hex nuts?

Anyone know how much these 4 hex nuts need to be torqued? Don’t want to over-tighten and risk ripping out the stud from the carbon fiber.

It’s #8 in in the exploded view below.

Thanks.

Can't wait to see it installed Ricky! Actually, want to see if you have the same gap around as you pointed out on my CS. BTW, I felt like an idiot the other day having to attempt to close my hood 3x times! I hate having to slam it shut every time!

Thanks. It’s getting painted at Cavallo today. Any idea on the torque for the hex nuts? I have the torque values for the standard hood but don’t think it can be the same for the CF.

By the way, the gap is easily adjustable. Sometimes the bumper is installed a tab bit too low from factory. When I switch out my kidney grille’s I pulled it up and that closed the gap. It’s only 4 bolts I think. The hood has an adjustment as well. The GTS in the video below has minimal gap.

And here is how you close the hood

Felt like an idiot the first couple of times when closing the hood. Took a minute to work up the motivation to just slam the hood shut.

The right side of my hood is more stubborn that the left. I have to keep my hand above the latch and follow it down so it fully closes. looks fine when closed so i am reluctant to have it "adjusted"

Thanks a lot Tom. Dry carbon is indeed really strong.

I noticed the center grate uses 3M tape in addition to the clips. Is that how it secures to the hood? Seems excessive.

We use both, since it already comes pre-applied to the part.

Tom, how does this hood attachment come out? I pulled the two small tabs on the sides but it’s still pretty rigid. Don’t want to break it incase it has clips on the inside. I was trying the 45 degree rotate to see if that releases it but it doesn’t
budge. Am sure it’s something simple. It’s the adjustable stopper towards the front of the hood.

Thanks.

Appear to be single use rivets. May need to clip the heads and use replacements from your dealer.

Tom definitely not rivets. They just pulled out. I believe there are push tabs and only there to prevent the whole adjuster from rotating as you screw it in or out. I wasn’t sure what’s holding the adjuster in place.

Push rivets/expansion tabs, same terminology. Should be held in by friction.

Thanks Tom. You were right. Pulls out with some effort. This video here confirmed it as well at 2:15
