Hi mate what sort of $ do these cost, and how have they fared?
Great to get your feedback that the DS2500's work well in street conditions! I know a guy who has a M2 CP who has optional oem BBK, he said the DS2500 clunk a bit in his application. |

https://www.litchfieldmotors.com/bmw...-m4-f82-brakes They even held up well, have done around 6 track days so far with them, and around 11k miles, and absolutely stacks of life left in them. With the DS2500 pad you get a slight clunk when going from forward to reverse, and the opposite. doesn't cause me any issues, and they don't squeal, which is what happens with RS29 pads when used as a daily driver pad.

Vibrations for deposits. No vibrations due to deformation

What they definitely do is handle heat much better, so helping to avoid fade, and no grumbling or issues afterwards.

Hi guys!
Long last - due to Covid restrictions - yesterday I came back to the track (Adria new circuit in Italy) and I tested my two-pieces Alcon rotors, with DS2500, Goodridge tubes and Castrol Racing SRF. I’m very satisfied with my breaks! After the 2 track-sessions I had some vibrations in the way home, but I hope it’s due to residual dust on the rotors (I hope so…). Here’s a vid: |

Update
I think that the vibrations are due to deformation of the front rotors. Nothing to do. Alcon are surely better than stock rotors, but they’re not the definitive solution if you want to break hard on track. After two sessions on track, the front rotors became very noisy when breaking and start vibrating. I first believed it was for dust, but now I suspect that the discs are crooked |

I'd bet a lot of money that it isn't warped rotors, and is in fact pad deposits. I had this after a day at Spa, but the cleaned up and were perfect till I replaced with a full Alcon BBK.

I hope so, I hope U’re right.
But consider that I warped two sets of stock front rotors: first one was substituted by the dealer under BMW guarantee; second pair I changed with the current two-pieces Alcon. The track of the video is surely brake-consuming, but I’ve done only a couple of 25 minutes sessions, with 1 lap of cool-down every 2 laps of “time attack”. |

Information there. The discs used are similar to the replacement ones, but larger in diameter and thickness, so even better heat management. They also come with Pagid RS29 pads, which have much better friction properties at high temperatures than DS2500.
