Two year or three year M4 CS lease?

Hi all

Need some advice. Should I do a 2 year or 3 year lease on M4 CS?

36 months is $4ish more.

Is 24 months enough time for new M3 to be out? What do you guys suggest?

Here was my thought process:

2 years is right when the G-series M cars would be released, 1st year problems, and 1st year lease rates.

3 years is right when the the 2nd year comes out, 1st year problems worked out, and 2nd year lease rates apply, or work out a left-over 1st year car that's been sitting on the lot for over 6 months for the best deal.

...and if that doesn't work, look on swapalease for another F82 CS with another 1 - 1.5 years remaining and wait for the G-series M market to settle down on lease rates.

Does BMW let you extend the leases later on?

currently, yes they allow for some wiggle room (rumor has it up to 6 months if you have an order for one), or a few months if you simply say you have not found the right BMW yet. Cannot say for sure if that would still apply in 2 or 3 years.

I just did this waiting for the 2020 (wanted SMB). I had a 2016 IND SMB, lease was up 5/15/19. I extended 2 months. You can extend 2 months with no questions asked. You can go 4 more if you have a production number for a new BMW. Picked up my car on 6/28. BMW credits me for ~15 days on extended lease, and gave me $300 because I was under miles.

You can also do a 30 months lease. Check the numbers with your dealer.

Looking for some more thoughts. Will I need to change brakes before 36 months or 30K miles?

You can buy ultimate care plus if you are very concerned about the brakes.

How many miles did your car have to get money back? I'm under on mine as well, not sure yet if I'll buy it or re-up for a new one.

I had 27k of 38k allowable (extended for 2 months). It qualified for max rebate.
