Worth it for more than just clamping. It changes overall shifting behavior enough to make it a much better experience.

It's kind of the difference between an amateur with a manual trans and someone with experience. The shifts are faster but you don't get the "dumped clutch" feel all the time, there's less lurching - especially on downshifts - and the automatic mode feels much smarter.

Mine is a non-CP 2016 with just a BMS stage 1 and honestly the only regret I might have is not having done it sooner. The GTS tuning for the DCT has no downsides at all that I've ever experienced. It's better at shifting and clutch engagement when you're at full throttle, when you're stuck in stop-and-go traffic jams, and everything in between.

Yes ~ It is worth it. In my case, it was free of charge since I went with BM3. The gear change is very noticeably faster, smoother. I auto-shift mode ~ coming to a stop, change from 2nd gear to 1st is more natural with GTS \ tranny tune. If people claim they cant feel the difference, I don't know why they are driving M3.
