I'm still waiting for my car to arrive and I've never coded an F80 yet, but on my E90, there was a codeable option to change the blinking frequency from 3hz to 5hz. 5hz was too fast for the non-led brake lights, but I was also able to make the BFD work only on the 3rd brake light which was LED.

Has anyone replaced these bulbs with LED bulbs for the emergency flashing brake lights? I know the bulb is H21w, at least for the f80 m3.
If you've done it, which bulbs did you get? I think the socket is bay9s but can't confirm through searching. Please post pics, video, and size of LED bulb replacement please. Thanks! |

On the M4 convertible the inner and outer brake lights are both H21w. I replaced them with LED version I got from Amazon:
iJDMTOY (2) 360 Degrees Brilliant Red 13-SMD H21W LED Daylight and nighttime brightness is the same as halogen: |
