Go gloss black on the vents. It makes a world of difference and looks 100 times better. If you are one of those people that pay attention to detail, then you will not be satisfied with the stock vents. Plus it's only $89 from iND which is a small price to pay to be satisfied with your $70k-$80k car IMO.

The gloss looks like it was meant to match the side marker. Nice pics guys.

Can someone do a semi-detailed DIY on how to get the vent off (not the side marker)? I've done it once but it wasn't pretty.

For the markers, not the vents that I have seen.

I have the M performance versions, they are simple to install. But they also have an issue with them that the plaque peels off.

For what it's worth...

Here's a company that makes several trim pieces in CF (or at least wraps them in real CF): http://www.nvdautosport.com/carbon/b...-fiber-cf.html

Any guinea pigs want to try them out?

How do you wrap them in real cf? Is it a cf vinyl your describing?

It's my understanding that they use the original trim piece as a template to lay the CF down on. It's real CF, just laid on top of the trim, instead of using a custom mold. Apparently the CF finish won't be as pristine this way, but I'm told it's a much cheaper way of doing it, resulting in a significantly lower cost product. I have yet to see any of these in person though... If they're anything like CN Autofans products, then they should be decent enough to put up with a minor fitment or weave blemish.

It wouldn't fit if they add cf to the original trim. Maybe some parts are better for this than others.

Painted mine myself when I painted the front lower grills and the SO reflectors. On the pic you can see the OEM performance black marker and the painted vent.

I'm skeptical myself. Like I said, I haven't seen them in person, so it's anyone's guess at this point.

I got a piece of interior trim from nvd. They do good stuff.

I also ordered gloss black vent and painted YMB side marker from IND. Will post up photos later.
