Capture kit in GTA?
Any recommendations on where to get one installed?
Called RMP and was told they don't offer the capture kit because it's "useless" even though pretty much all of Europe is using them on 600+ whp builds and they are holding. Anyone know where I can get one installed? |

Anyone know a rough pricing difference installing the capture kit vs. replacing the Crank Bolt?

That's good to hear RMP did it. Last time I was in or called it didn't sound like he was open to it and was pushing the full fix for close to 5k.
My car is stock and lately been debating on BM3 stage 1 but wouldn't mind spending a few hundred bucks for a bit of extra insurance. |

Is there any proof that the CBC works? Or is it more about the science and that "it should work"?

After seeing RMPs post on the black f82 that got the capture installed I messaged them on Instagram, looks like they are open to doing them now. Quoted $400 for the labour alone including a coolant flush. But they do not stock nor order the capture kit for you, you must provide the part your self.

Not a single spun hub case with just the capture plate installed on this forum. I think it's the best thing for anyone running a OTS stage 1/2 on pump gas. It 100% eliminates the crank bolt from ever loosening leaving the only way to actually spin the hub is having so much torque it over comes the friction plate between the two sprockets.

Coolant does not need to be flushed. You can watch DiY on it. Looks like 1-2 hours of work max from under the car and pretty easy.

It's not the $100...it's about the principal! The fact that Rocco is starting to overcharge and take advantage of desperate S55 owners is the problem. A mechanic needs to stay honest and only charge for hours used.

I agree somewhat but all mechanics charge book time. In some cases you win, some cases they do...it's supposed to even out.
What I don't understand is the $4k for the crank hub replacement. That's a bit of a head scratcher as all the videos I see show the job completed in under two days. @$150 an hour x16 hours it's $2400 in labour. Not sure if the part and coolant adds $1600 to the cost... |
