Will you trade in your F8x for G8x?
Seems like BMW is definite on three elements for the future G8x generation:
1. S58B30 engine from X3M/X4M 2. AWD (unsure if switchable, most likely it is) 3. ZF8HP (no DCT option announced at this moment) It's too early to say how it will drive, but how many of you are planning to change the ride? What is the reason(s) behind your choice?

I just got mine, not even a week ago but looking into the future, I'd probably want to see if BMW starts actually offering rebates on the F90 and dealerships start taking more off the sticker than they are right now.

Unless they have a top tier model with rwd-only, 6 speed, and lighter than the current f80 i'll pass.
Plus the g20 already looks pretty bad with the lexus tails and the gigantic grill. I'm struggling to see how they will make the M3 look good.

I'd say I'm planning on going to the G8x, but can't be 100% until we start seeing some official (final) specs. If the specs on the different versions that are floating around are real, it may be a tougher choice than I anticipated.

I'm pretty torn. On one hand, I like the idea, but I keep hearing speculations about the front grill design. If it's huge, (and I realize this is petty), I'm going to pass on the car. A C63 just seems like more what I'd be into.
Again, this is just my opinion, but I feel like BMW and Mercedes have been neck-and-neck in this race for a while, and if this G80 is ugly, I'm jumping ship. May entertain the idea of an X3 M Competition, but who knows.

I'm will go if my money ain't acting funny...Besides this happens with all new models that BMW designs. A lot of people will say I cant stand the new look because it resembles a Lexus.... Then once the ///M models start hitting the showroom floors everybody wants one.

Like others said, if there is a comparable ZCP/6MT (all options available) version like there is now, then I could see myself getting one eventually. I'm skeptical of what this Pure RWD 6MT is/means. So I'm an official "dunno" and didn't vote in the poll.

Good catch. Can someone edit it in the option?

Id like to see a "maybe option".
I would for the following reasons: 1.) i want to do another euro delivery 2.) the G20 would need to look as good as it performs. Right now the F80 is the perfect balance of both. I'm not getting a G20 if it has massive front grills, no fender flare and digital tach just because it has a better 0-60. |

I voted no but there is always a “but let’s wait and see”. I am getting on in years and the current ride is keeping me pretty happy for now. Don’t know what the parking situation is at my future old folk’s home.

Not sure...but I am trading it in for a M2C in June. I'll see how I like that and then decide.

Personally I think that it will just cost a fortune to lease with a higher MSRP and lower residuals/discount. That in itself should result in fewer sales. Just look at what happened last Sept when they dropped residuals. Cars started sitting on the lots until December when they increased incentives.

At the moment, completely happy with my 4CS.
To be honest, I’m contemplating taking a step downwards next time. Something a bit cheaper but still extremely capable. |

Definitely not. Can't stand the Lexus-ification of the body and giant grill. I realize the M will most likely look way better, but come on, the luxury car look of the M340 is awful. I think they are trying to kill sedans once and for all and force everyone to X models.
