UPDATE:
Spoke to the Eastchester dealership and the price was if I finance in house. I may explore that option as BofA rates are just as competitive as my local credit union. I think the dealbreaker is going to be that I can’t take it to BMW to have a PPI conducted. The sales manager mentioned some BS about potentially tinkering with the car and liability in case something happens.

Tell them no deal unless it goes for a PPI. How do you know a previous owner didn't do a tune to the car. When I assumed the lease on my car, I made sure it got a PPI at a BMW dealership to check for a tune or any other mods that may have voided the warranty.

This should be a sticky on this board

DO NOT BUY FROM EASTCHESTER. They smoke you on $2500 prep / doc fees, I bought a 2013 Wrangler from them two years ago and they were horrific on helping me with the car after offering "90 day limited powertrain" - ended up replacing the transmission out of my pocket. Couldn't go on a test drive to go faster than 15mph, otherwise would have taken 30 minutes to go somewhere to get to go 50 mph.

Wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Horrific experience lol

Update for you guys: finalizing a deal with a diff dealership in Bronx. They had a PPI done from BMW of Westchester. I am thinking of getting my own PPI done. I called a shop in Queen and they do the same 40 point inspection BMW does :/

Granted not all of the above may be true, and I'm sure there are clean ones, but just a few reasons why most people avoid buying from the area.
I couldn't agree more.

I'm from NJ and I will not buy a car from NYC, period. The dealers suck and cars in general are beat up.

NJ smaller used car dealers are no better.

Go private party, it's more work but you end up with a cleaner better car that's actually been cared for. Most of these dealers are buying auction cars and throwing them on the lot, unless it's fresh off a lease return most auction cars are cars that dealers don't deem worth keeping to resell on their own lot. While this is not representative of all scenarios, it's more common than the exceptions.
