Good choice... i love my CCB's with a passion.

Just wait to see how many non-BMW enthusiasts are going to appreciate and respect your car solely cuz of the beauty of these brakes

enjoy

Any specific reason you decided to go with the CCBs over other kits like the Brembo GT?

as stated you can get this kit after for 11,200 which isn't to far off from brembos, making it a good deal if you can fork it over

Brake booster is a different part number on CCB vs non-CCB.

For vehicles with M Carbon ceramic brake (S2NKA=Yes)
01 Brake servo unit 1 34337850999

For vehicles with M Carbon ceramic brake (S2NKA=No)
01 Brake servo unit 1 34337849876

Great to see someone doing the retrofit.

What is the difference besides the part number? Which one is more powerful?

I paid just under Ă‚Â£7300 fitted so around 11200USD but you guys probably get it 10pc less as our sales tax is an eye watering 20%

BMW offer a retrofit kit that comes with all the parts you need. The brake servo comes with the kit - just need brake fluid and some spanners it's a bit scarey as the brakes bed in but after a couple of hundred of miles they are superb.

Now just to get the HRE's ordered!

Not 100% sure, CCB just specifies that specific booster. Better safe than sorry.

I'm an OEM sucker - less agro to get them, get them installed and then no warranty concerns...

To be honest - since picking up my M4 I was disappointed with the look of the brakes, I expect the caliper to be like the M5 ones but they are not so good looking and I had wished I'd ordered the CCBs. When I got the price down to 7K it was a no brainer for me as I would have spent that at build time.

Cheers,
Neil.

I guess you can sell your OEM steel brakes to the F3x / F2x guys to help recover the cost. If you get $3,500 for them, then it's pretty much the same cost as building the car with CCB. Please keep us posted on what the OEM brakes go for.

I love the CCB! How much labor time did the dealer charge for the retrofit?

The charged the same as swapping the discs and pads all around but they knew it would take longer but as they had not done it before they said they would stick too the 2 hours. Another guy here I the UK was charged 4 hours I believe.
