We can rotate, you do the 8pm - 10pm shift then i'll take over

I think with anything of this magnitude you'll have teething issues the manner in responses and updates on here fills me with confidence it'll get resolves as quickly as they can with all the other work loads flying that direction.

On a side note in case I'm doing something wrong and stupid. Once I've activated the license will I see an 'unlock' button for the DME or is it all automatic now.

Also is it recommended the car is on power charge or is the fact its less than 5 minutes to flash providing the cars regularly used the battery will be okay?

Guys, please don't wait in the cold. We got flooded again with emails and tickets from everywhere. Please open a ticket if you haven't and we're going through them as quickly as humanly possible as they came in.

It's a late 2017 car so can't be that out of date!

Suppose EU might be the same?

Is this so we have stock DME captured? there must be 10s of software iterations over the years?

I've already been out in the car for 2 hours, I'll take a break for now and try again in an hour or two.

I think the map flash will do the unlock at the same time.

If your car is daily like mine, I wouldn't bother with the charge cable. The flash process is very fast.....

I'll try it first then and report back to you

Always highly recommend to have a charger on it, especially for unlock! You can also jumper over from another car if ever need be but best to just have a proper charger handy, 40-50 amps of juice, not those tiny trickle ones.

How long is the unlock process taking on average? I thought I read in one of the threads that it was just a few minutes (260 seconds I believe I read) and I didn't think that it'd require a battery to be charged for that long.

~260-270secs to unlock, ~40secs to switch a map.

Its not about the battery charge as much as it is just being on the safe side and keeping the voltage stable. If you're in a safe area like in your driveway at home or at a shop just go for it unless the car sat out in the cold a number of days in winter or was started for a very short time after sitting for a long time Things that basically keep battery charge low.

I'm Dec 15 car (Oct 15 build) non-comp and mine is currently out-dated but it's not concerning me.

The 'official launch' so to speak was only today so always going to be teething issues and these guys seem flat out working though to resolve all the minor issues.

Can't even imagine going through this after waiting for so long for PTF to release this.

So cold out here but tempted to try it out when I get home.

Finally!

Has anyone flashed or unlocked with jb4? I'm not stacking, but may just keep the unit to keep the boost gauge, flap adjustment, and active sound to be off. I'll switch it to map 0 for the pass through mode of course.

I'll have to unplug the obd unit to do this of course but didn't want any issues or problems.

Bugger, thats worrying as we're on the same software so assuming you can now activate I would assume mine will as well. Can't imagine what your thoughts are I'd be panicking.

But in the dilemma of do I flash to see it works my end or end up in same situation.

What happened mid flash? Is there specific settings to follow? in my GT-R I used to have to have fans off, lights off, audio off for example when flashing via OBD

You pulled the trigger too soon on a modified map flash going straight to it skipping the warning to do the unlock first Chatting with you through support, no worries.

There's no way to check the DME if its unlocked prior to the flash so please follow the warnings pre-flashing and if it says to ensure its unlocked prior. If you're not sure just go ahead and run the OBD UNLOCK again by going to the Stock Tune and clicking on it.

You can set it to map0 and it should be fine.

He flashed an OTS flash before unlocking We have warnings in place that say to ensure the DME unlock is done prior to flashing modified maps but real men don't read instructions!
