M-Performance Exhaust Impressions

MY18 M3 Competition Package, DCT
Was lucky enough to have a new M Performance exhaust installed. I read about the crack issue, but my unit was made in 2000 - so I hope BMW fixed that problem on mine.

In any case, I added the carbon tips. It looks nice but I like the slant tips of the ZCP a tad better. It's a bit lighter, but nothing to give any performance gain. Start-up sound is very close the the ZCP but at operating temp, the MP "crackles" in its own unique way. I like it. In Sp-Sp-Sp mode, the original exhaust would hardly "crackle," from 3K RPM down. With the MP, it's part of normal operation - I like it. At highway speeds, it's louder than ZCP but, not that much - using my ear as gage. However, at WOT, it is scary loud. In any case, I have attached a couple pics and sound (doing vid for first time, hope it works). The first four "crackles" are Sp/Sp/Sp mode. The rest is Sp+/Sp+/Sp+, DCT is in N.

How is it in efficient mode on the highway? Older parents and baby friendly or take another car?
