I believe a harness will still be needed. I have pre lci leds and I compared the plug on my headlights with the aftermarket icons and they have different pin outs. I reached out Marius and he is able to make a jumper harness, you will need coding because the adaptive option is not available in the aftermarket lights.

hey folks if anyone is interested in a set of this, i've a set avaliable for sale. It's brand new with warranty. DM me for details. I am from the f32 forum and happen to come across this thread. I was the guy who contacted Marius initially and worked with him to figure out how to make this work on a car that came with Adaptive headlights It took us a very long time and numerous remote coding session. He's a great guy, he never give up when i wanted to give up lol

Marius on eBay has a listing selling all the required pin and wires and he will walk you through the necessary process You don’t need any real skills, just need to be semi handy to remove panels, headlights and stuff off the car |

I don't know who told you this, but it is a false statement.
Pre LCI LEDs require different wiring as well. Chinese IKONs will only work as PnP if the car had non adaptive xenons from the factory. All US cars had ONLY ADAPTIVE xenons. European cars (LHD and RHD) and Canadian cars had both types of xenons - adaptive and non adaptive xenons. |

I think you might be mixing up two things - if the car has from the factory GENUINE (2015-2017) pre LCI LEDs you don't have to modify wiring if you are installing GENUINE 2018+ LEDs (both non adaptive and adaptive). But if you are planing to install Chinese "LEDs" at any US spec car (either that has adaptive xenons or genuine pre LCI adaptive LEDs or LCI non-adaptive LEDs or LCI adaptive LEDs) you HAVE TO modify the wiring. I spoke with him as well and that what he told me and it makes sense. |

Anyone know if these lights have the "soft on/off" capability where the lights fade on/off when locking/unlocking? Just curious. I just installed the aftermarket LCI tail lights (DEPO) on my F36 and was surprised to find out those have the soft on/off capability. I'm assuming it's just a matter of them being LED, but wondering if these headlights can do the same and if anyone has tried coding that feature.
