Car wrapping - thoughts and experiences?

My 2015 is starting to show its age externally - stone chips and what not...

I've been contemplating doing a full car wrap but I wanted to see if anyone here has done it and can get your thoughts and experience on it.

Who did you go with?
Was it well done?
Was it well priced?

So many wrappers to choose from these days with the same level of price variation.

I hear Carbon Demon is very good and have seen some of his work. Auto artisan is also very well known and big social media presence.

A wrap isn't going to hide rock chips. You're going to see chips, dents, etc through the wrap and it's not going to be a good look. If you don't get the rock chips fixed before you put a wrap on, when it comes time to take off the wrap it's likely going to take paint with it.

I had PPF fitted and the very few chips I have are more noticeable than without it. I can love with it.

I had great success with this stuff on my Valencia Orange 1M previously which had hundreds of chips on the front (paint would chip just looking at it!). It's not as good as a toothpick/pencil sand/clear coat but it's less chance of messing up too as it can be removed easily and you can try again with it.

That looks awesome - what would a full wrap like this (without the custom graphics) cost?

I got quotes last year for full wrap. Basic service was just under $4k and full service was just under $6k.

Difference is on the basic they only remove handles and badges to apply the wrap. Full service they remove pretty much all the panels and wrap whilst off the car. Looks much better.

Still think about getting mine redone in Atlantis Blue sometimes. Probably won't bother though as the car is already a depressing money pit just based on depreciation.

PROvinyl at Artarmon were very useful. 3 1/2 years ago put a carbon fibre wrap on the convertible roof $450. roof started squeaking a few months ago and BMW blamed the wrap. they thought the rubber seals hardening. no complaints with company.
