Springs and Spacers
Hi Guys,
Just got my hands on a 2016 M4 Mineral white and I was wondering what setup of springs and spacers should I go for to get rid of the OEM gap. I am not looking to be slammed but just to reduce the gap and to make the car look nicer. The car sites on 437m. Thank you. David

I did some extensive reading the research. If you can afford it go with M Performance HAS. If you want to save some money and just get springs go with EMD (emmotion). Swift is a bit too bouncy on bumpy roads. EMD is rated pretty close to stock springs and gives you a nice drop. MP HAS if you want to adjust and have the cash, otherwise EMD for a nice drop, no noise and close to stock feel.
As for spacer: 15mm in front and 12mm in the rear. If you dont like it, you can swap it around to see what you like. |

on the m4 with 437 wheels and stock tire size 15mm spacers all around fit perfect and no rub. but you'll need extended wheel lugs or a wheel stud conversion kit. so its another expense. as for springs your gonna get so many opinions. I think emd has a new competition design. I have h&r super sport which is the lowest I believe drop out there. look great. but already replaced the front strut because they were blown, over time, but I will be buying coilovers when I'm ready. but 15mm spacers all around and extended wheel studs are a must

No sense getting HAS. Just find a drop you like and stick with it. If you're planning on tracking it, get some coil overs, camber plates, etc.
But if you're like me, and just looking to make everything flush, I highly recommend the Emmanuel Design springs and 12mm spacers all around. Got it all for under $400. Great ride. No complaints. No sense in spending the extra money for HAS you're never going to adjust that's way harder to install and way more expensive. |

Before that it definitely took a little extra awareness and care to navigate everywhere. But I live in Houston and deal with some pretty rough roads; still, for me, totally worth the look. |
