285 35 r19 Square Setup Question

Anyone know if these will fit on the front running Apex ARC-8 with no spacer? Looking for a square setup for my track car. If you think a spacer would be required what size?

Fronts will probably rub on the fender liner when turning. What width and offset is the wheel?

So I can’t take credit for this, but others have posted that the max diameter on the front without rubbing is 26.3” (regardless of width). Per tire rack the 285/35/19 is 26.9” so I think it would definitely rub.

I have MPS4S - 265/35Z19 upfront and I can validate that there is no extra room when turning, and if you hit a decent bump on a full lock corner you might actually rub a little.

Next time I am out i'll take a picture at full lock.

Here is a link to the tire: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...4SXL&tab=Specs

This.

285/35/19 will definitely rub against the fender liner, but 285/30/19 will be fine due to shorter OD.

For reference, 275/35/19 Continental ECS and Federal 595RS-RR have very minor rubbing against the fender liner, mainly on left hand turns.

I agree with you but I still haven't seen an F8X cars with 285/30R19 up front. IMO it is the perfect aggressive/performance street size combined with 305/30R19 rear.

This is a really great question, we would be more than happy to shed some light on this topic.

Diving into the nitty gritty here, we would NOT recommend either the 285/35-19 or 285/30-19 tire up front as the clearances up front are quite limited, and rubbing is almost certainly guaranteed. However, we do have an alternative for those looking to run a bit more rubber than what is standard.

Our recommended 19" fitment can be seen below:

Front: 19x10" ET25 with 275/30-19 tires
Rear: 19x11" ET44 with 305/30-19 tires

We would recommend a set of 5mm front spacers, as they may be required for certain aftermarket suspensions, such as KW or Ohlins. Alternatively, a front 19x9.5" ET22 wheel can be used to avoid running spacers with certain aftermarket suspensions due to its superior inner clearance.

315/25-19 tires may also be used in the rear, but may require rolled fenders and/or negative camber.

If you are looking to run a squared fitment, we have you covered there as well. We would still recommend not moving up to a 285 width tire, as the 275/35-19 we recommend is a much better fitment overall. I have included some details on that fitment below:

Front & Rear: 19x10" ET25 with 275/35-19 tires

As with the staggered fitment noted above, the same 5mm front spacers may be required with certain aftermarket suspensions.

We do have a huge selection of fitments for the F8x chassis. To help sort out what would work best for you, we have worked hard to design an entire fitment guide that details every fitment on offer for the M3 and M4 chassis!

That guide can be found here:

F8x M3 & M4 Wheel & Tire Fitment Guide

These guides will review every fitment we offer for this chassis, we would highly recommend taking a look at this guide if you have some time!

I hope this was helpful information. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks!
- Max
