Clunky Brake Pedal

Has anyone experienced this?

The cars going for its RIS on Saturday so I'll get them to check it then but be handy to know if this is a common problem as I've never had it before.

Cheers

Neil

It's like there's some play, tried to replicate the noise to my wife this evening and it didn't do it.

I had a play with mine after work and the only play it has is around the pivot point... very slight side to side movement but zero noise and no play in terms of braking 'slack'.

Bumping an old thread as I came across it upon my search for what appears to be the same sound explained by OP that I heard yesterday. I've had this happen a couple of times and too intermittent so cannot replicate when I want to. It only happens when depressing the brake pedal quickly, and only really while at stop or crawling speeds.

Anyone else have this. Wo-Wo did you ever find out what it was when BMW checked it?

I've been reading and many BMW non F8x threads which point towards it being the split bush in the brake pedal pivot point coming out of place, and then with some excessing brake pedal pressing it going back in place. When out of place, the brake pedal apparently makes this clunk sound on release, but not sure if its exactly this or something else.
