You already have some nice two door cars in tour stable, so do you need another 2 door?

Also, the M3 CS is more limited, so that might matter if you are keeping the car long term. I believe on 607 M3 CS were produced.
Actually 1263 M3cs have been produced, of which 607 landed in the USA.

While the M4cs is not "lmited" per se from a worldwide perspective, I think it will be a rarer site than the M3cs in the USA. There seems to be very few M4cs that have landed stateside as of yet.

And there in lies my dilemma, the LRG rocks my boat, but I like the stance better on the M3 vs M4. My dealer, (I’m 100 percent committed to them, as I get all their special” Porsche’s and Mercs at no more than sticker-huge deal for me) So they have two CS’ in stock. SMB M3 CS and LRG M4 CS, I’m trying to decide between the more limited color in LRG and a bit more preferred “stance” usability of the M3 CS. You mentioned you think the M4 may be more scarce in the NA market, do you have any sense of what that delta may be in total units. Also any thoughts as to the limited allocation of the LRG vs SMB and going forward? Finally how satisfied are you with the more raw M4 specific to the door cards and lack of HK sound? Appreciate your feedback !

Are you able to drive both and see which speaks to you? Seems like a small request given the business relationship you’ve cultivated with this dealership. An extended test drive of both should tell you everything you need to know. Everyone has a perspective on these cars and it may not align with what you feel is important or simply may not be accurate by your own personal account.

There is a LRG M3 CS and M4 CS at Sterling BMW in Newport Beach if you are interested.

It's difficult to say what the split between M3cs and M4cs will be in the US. If I look at the dealers in my area, they had about 2 M3cs allocation for each M4cs allocation, but what happens here in Montreal Canada is not necessarily an indication of happens in the US. As for LRG vs SMB, the ratio was close 3:1 on the M3cs in the USA (209 SMB vs ~78 LRG), it is fair to assume the M4cs ratio will be relatively the same.

I usually always tick the highest end sound for my cars and had the HK in my previous M4. I am actually quite happily surprised with the sound quality of the HiFi system in my M4cs and it has not left me wanting for the HK.

I was originally put down by the interior of the M4cs when it was originally launched. But having now lived with it for 4 months, the interior has really grown on me. It looks purposeful and the lower sound deadening lets a fair bit of road and engine noise in, which enhances the driving experience even further. I found my previous 2015 lacked a bit of soul and "special feeling" compared to my previous M3s, the CS enhancements has brought much of that back to the F82 chassis.

I personally prefer the low slung and wider look of the M4 vs the M3, but that is only my perspective and opinion.

Thanks, that's basically what I have heard as well. Based on that, a ZCP with all of the CS tuning/programming (and preferably the same or similar wheels) should feel similar. Would really have to test drive them back-to-back, hopefully I'll have a chance this spring.

Regardless, it looks like BMW did a great job with the CS. One could argue it's close to what the ZCP should have been... but in an age where there are seemingly countless versions of the same car, the economics drive them to do what they do first and foremost.

Not quite. The CS do not have a full CP suspension. For instance, the M3cs and M4cs both use the base (non-CP) front sway-bar.

Scooped my CS up Saturday. I love it so far in my drive back from the mountains in east TN to Nashville...but I really wish it had Comfort Access. I don't miss the console at all though...

What do you guys think the CS would go for in the use market like 2 years from now? Would a 15k off msrp on a new one make more cent?

I honestly don't think you can compare the Hi-Fi system to the HK in terms of sound quality. You just can't.

The HK is better, no question. I’m just saying that the HiFi in the M4cs is not that bad and has not left me wanting for the HK.

Anyone else missing the cigarette lighter from under the glove box? Is this a CS "lightening" feature? The hole is still there, but the hardware is not.

So maybe stupid question.

Do you have to put the key in a slot to start ?

My e90 doesn't have comfort access.
My e70 has comfort access but still had the slot.
My f30 , g01, g01 have all had comfort access.

No. You simply cannot lock or unlock the doors or trunk without physically pressing the buttons on the key fob (or BMW Connected app).

The whole outlet is gone! Not just the lighter itself.

I see I will check it out. I have to say the CS seems top pull better up top than my GTS tune on my previous F80. I'm very impressed!

I would not be surprised if its 500+ at the crank.

I joined the M3 CS club. Had it shipped from NJ, dealers in AZ never seem to deal. I am worried about the front lip scraping/cracking. Am I crazy to think about removing it to protect it? It does look great and I would miss it being on.
