Badge is definitely staying on for me!

I love the m3 logo and what it stands for, along the history behind it.

Badges we don't need no stinking badges...its a funny mix of those who debadge lesser cars to look like they are more than what they are and those who debadge just to be less conspicuous or to have a cleaner look to me the badge on the front is very classy the one on the rear well that's a toss up sometimes a clean ass is the best but it all comes down to your preference in TP that being Total Preference...HA HA!!!

Agreed. Which is exactly why it's silly to re-badge a car a model that it's not.
I'm talking to you, Mr. I'm gonna badge my M4 as M3.

Not you OP. Debadge away!

For sure! I've seen countless fake M3's, I've seen an E36 coupe re-badged "750iL" I've seen a F01 7 series factory M Sport re-badged "M7", but the funniest one I've seen was a real E92 M3 re-badged as "328i".

Speaking of 328i, my badge is proudly mounted as it came from the factory.

I have bought a used one with badges, will debadge it first day!
It is so much cleaner, the guys that know Bmw knows it is an m4. The guys that don't know BMW are up for an surprise.

I have only had on car with badges. A 335i with 320d badges, in Norway we don't have many 335, but we have a lot of 320 with 335/m3 exhaust...
Quit a lot of people was surprised whene I put the pedal to the floor! Had mperf exhaust also...

Sry guys now I have to get ready for the m3/m4 event in Istanbul. Life is though!

Because like I've already said , it looks cleaner and I like the understated look of not having M badges all over the car. It's a cultural thing here.

Totally different mindset. Some think it looks good, but many just want to or try to show off.

Amazed that it took 51 posts for these guys to start showing up. For awhile there, I thought they had either gotten their equivalency diplomas, or that Darwinism had done it's job.

Interesting- only other guys apart from me who's voted de badge are Canadian, all the US guys are keeping the badges.
Ha - I'd even go a step further than that - unfortunately a good number of people in US put M badging on non-M BMW's here - saw a 7 series last week with an M badge...

Coming from a 335i n54 modded out to 408hp/440tq, I ran de-badged, loved it when I use to blow the doors off the unsuspecting, M cars included...sorry guys. And most never had any idea what I was, but I suspect the new 2015 Ms cannot be hidden by just stripping her of her letter, they are not wallflowers! So de-badging this car, to me makes no sense for me. Others should feel free though.

Obviously. The thread is just for a bit of fun, would be a boring forum if we couldn't discuss different topics, no one here is telling anyone what to do with their car.
