You have no miles or options listed and the market your in will depend on what the car brings at the auction. Automotive Finance Manager here
We recently took in a 2016 M3 black saphire metallic with 9,049 miles. Car was a 6MT with drivers assistance package, M adaptive suspension, MSRP was 72,600 we gave him 56,000 for it. He was a manager at the store so he got the most he could from the trade in. |

I can search by market through Manheim if you'd like, but putting all that information in this thread would take awhile. Market location isn't relevant in the age of internet car buying. I can buy a car 2,000 miles away online and have it shipped, or pick the car up. Also there is no way to search by options on each car, but they do list average mileage for each figure I gave. These figures are all averages and not necessarily what you should expect every car to bring at aution.

It will not dictate a car's value at auction because these auctions have buyers from around the country bidding online. It's an overall market value that is not based upon the location of the vehicle.

That's Bullshit. If it were true, BMWFS would not be shipping cars in the NE to Manheim locations in the SE or SoCal to go on the auction block. And then you totally contradict yourself in your very next post... Quote:

BMWFS has cars located in every region throughout the US. In all seriousness, the market location doesn't dictate how much a car will sell for. There are more online bidders on these cars than there are in-person buyers. My figures are averages. So of course some cars sell for more, but history has shown it isn't relative to location. Do you have access to Manheim? If so, look for yourself. Otherwise, don't speak on things you know nothing of. You M3 owners sure do get your feelings hurt easily. I'm glad I have an M6.

Oh, and the MMR can fluctuate based upon location. Manheim recently released a new MMR calculator that factors in the location of the vehicle, but the location has not reflected on the actual auction prices. If you're going to say I contradicted myself then at least read my entire post. I'm clearly referring to two different aspects of pricing.

Great info - thank you!
For context, auto auctions are typically the lowest price a car will reliably sell for. People buy at auctions because they WONT find it lower elsewhere and could possibly sell it for more. Recent year Auction cars are usually not worthwhile to CPO for some reason, which should give you pause as well when considering valuations. If anything, this supports a pretty strong residual value for 2015s. |

We all know the MMR is a basic auction evaluation and doesn't reflect options or packages on each car, so a true valuation needs to happen on a case-by-case basis. Some of these cars are selling for $70k+ at auction, while the MMR might state $60k. |

If anything it says to me my car is still worth at least $50k which Im quite happy about (that would represent a $10k loss in value for me over 2.5 years).
