Is there a way to use Sports+ throttle without disabling/reducing traction control?

I like the throttle response much better in Sports+ but don't really want to disable DSC or enable MDM automatically when in this mode for daily driving. Is there a way to do this?

Also, I would have thought that if DSC is disabled when activating Sport+ the dash light would illuminate to indicate this was the case, but this doesn't happen. I'm almost sure it did with my former 340i. Assuming this is the case for everyone? Mine is an August 2018 built F80.

Sport+ should not change DSC unless you mapped M1 or M2 presets to do so.

I assume you are under this impression because of the default M-button settings, where the default M2 is Sport+ engine with DSC off.

The different settings, such as engine response, dampers, steering, DCT Drivelogic and DSC can all be set individually on the M3/4 by using the buttons to the left of the shifter. You can then store whatever are your two preferred combinations in the two M-buttons.

M1 M2 just a short cut for you not need to press other buttons. It can also call F1 F2. Lol

Yeah, you're confused. One has nothing to do with the other.

I only set up my M buttons last week and already forgot the settings were there

Thanks for the reminder!

Since my 340i deactivated DSC in this mode I did a search on this forum to see if the M3 did the same and there are a number of references about this (10x10 tables) and showing that Sports+ deactivated DSC. possibly earlier models?

Anyway, thanks for the clarification!

Right - my old 335i was the same. All or nothing with the sport plus button. The M has much more individual control which I like.

Nope. Never was the case with the F8X M3/4.

You are correct. I went back and looked, some of the info I was finding was in reference to the M2 and not the M3/4 (one such example below).

Can't explain the logic of why the regular 3-series and the F87 M2 will deactivate traction control and the F80/82 won't, but I'm happy this is the case.
