Unhappy Only had it two months and already got parking lot damage

Only had it 2 months and already some jack*** not paying attention backs out of a parking spot into the right rear. Worried about a wrinkle in the door jam and what might have happened to the rear end underneath.
This sucks.

- that is pissing as hell. Sorry to hear that. Are you going through insurance to get that fixed? It will look brand sparking new after but still a terrible thing to remember.

good news is he was properly insured so it will get fixed, bad news is its the same insurance company that I have so my rates will eventually get affected, even if it is miniscule, just because he wasn't paying attention.

People just don't get it anymore; you are in a car for one reason - to get from one place to another - pay attention to driving and leave all the other s**t alone!!!

This would be my main concern as well, especially if purchased and not leased, unless you plan on buying your lease out.

Why would your rates go up of he is 100% at fault? That's scary to think of getting screwed x2

The more claims to any company the more they increase their rates to cover their expense - ever notice how your rates go up after a natural disaster in another area? If the company ends up shelling out a bunch of money for flood damage in Houston they will spread that expense across everyone by increasing the basic rates - won't be much individually but adds up across the entire client base.
Remember, they are in the business of making money, not protecting you!

Sorry brother. People are stupid, i almost got ran over today stepping into a crosswalk once the light turned and the little man lit up, luckily I looked left as some dips hit blew a red light turning right, paying no attention to a) lights, b) people in crosswalks in a very busy downtown area with 20mph speed limits.

Sorry this happened to you bro. Looks like a new quarter panel, new door and some repair on the outer wheelhouse of the inner quarter. Make sure the repair shop does an alignment to check for possible suspension damage if the wheel/tire were touched. $10k in repairs easy so you should be looking at $3500-$4000 in diminished value. Don’t settle for less!!

This is terrible and I'm sorry. My X5 was rear ended 5 days after I took delivery so I know how you feel. Insist on original parts and pick the best body shop possible. Quick question. Why would your insurance go up you had nothing to do with this.
