"A.S.S." Neck breaker....
Just had a few weird situation come up with Auto Stop Start wondering if you have experienced this?
Before I begin let me say..... I know, I know - disable it and forget about it.... many people will take this stance and I agree most of the time but I actually like/benefit from this feature. My commute has stopped traffic frequently and I like having this feature when applicable. That being said... when the car is "off", I release the break gently step on the gas and bang. I hear an audible clunk and it snaps forward with serious force snapping my passenger/my head back with significant force. If I am patient and wait for the engine to start and then press the gas its smooth sailing but if you time it wrong and go from break to gas fairly quickly its quite violent. Anyone else experience this? The sound makes me believe this can't be good for the clutch/trans. |

The correct operation of the Auto SS is release the brake, once engine fires then apply throttle.
It would be nice if the car handled and managed you stepping on the throttle early, but it doesn't. |

I had it not start. Let off the break and it cranked over and noting.
