Megan Racing Exhaust Tease

A install teaser of the Megan Racing Exhaust for the F8x series!

It doesn't look too bad for the usual price point that Megan is known for.

Sounds like you haven't actually looked at the stock exhaust. This will likely be nearly as quiet as stock, unless it's a full downpipe back that eliminates the secondary cats. The stock muffler is almost a straight-pipe when the valves are open.

If you guys like it throaty and have the exhaust pop go catless downpipes! I'm scaring people right now with my Catless ER downpipes paired with the stock system.

Do you have a soundclip of how that sounds? Probably a very good mod pricewise too.

I emailed Megan Racing support and they said that their system is in the test stages right now and to keep an eye out in 3-4months.

I wonder if the reason it sounds so shitty is because a little bit of exhaust still goes through the muffler section.

I'm more interested in the rear control arms, couple that with some camber plates and I'd be very happy! The Megan exhaust systems tend to be overly loud and fitment is less than perfect, but that's just my experience.

I had Megan exhaust paired with fabspeed mid pipes on my e92 and it was the best sounding exhaust I've had. And I had 3 diff setups and this was the one I kept plus cost was very resonable. For my F80 I am contemplating just doing Catlesss DP and full 3" straight pipes all the way back.

Its really like 10 times louder in person!! In tunnels acceleration just sounds so good, the sound is really how it should have been from factory. It gives it that growl when you downshift from 2nd to 1st at lights and it just simply pops.

I disagree. At least on the S65 platform, they sounded really damn good, and not actually overly loud. The problem I've seen with them is the fit is not that fantastic.

The good news is that they are cheap. Hopefully that brings the rest of the market down a little bit, because some of these prices I'm seeing are full blown M taxes

^^^THIS^^^ I have the Megan on my E92 with testpipes and it sounds great. I can't tell you the amount of compliments I get on my exhaust. The fit can be off a tad, but nothing a muffler shop can't fix while installing for really cheap. I would rather do that and save $1k+ for another brand that doesn't sound any better. To be frank, I haven't heard an exhaust yet that sounds good on the F8X cars. Although, the new ZCP exhaust kind of got my attention.

As far as availability for the F8X cars, they are i production now according to the rep at Megan.
