Coding, registering battery

Hello everyone

A while back i had coded my M4 using an OBD to ethernet cable and a laptop

Need to adjust coding and register battery. Is there a windows app that people recommend?

Just use bimmerlink on your phone to register the battery. With the veepeak OBD2 scanner on Amazon.

That's what i did - after driving for 10 min i get replace battery again- i also see other things i changed such as flaps open go back to auto.

It feels like the coding is removed by the car.

The new replacement battery, is it a lithium battery? If so do you mind sharing the price and where you bought it from?

Its the same battery- it died die to lack of use. Bought a battery charger. Charged it and its fine no issues other than the "replace battery" error

Registering the same battery should solve it.
